Sung-nam je četrdesotogodišnji oženjen slikar koji je u bjegstvu
od zatvora u Koreji. U Parizu se naseli u hotelu čiji vlasnik je
korejac, te vrijeme provodi lutajući ulicama grada. Šetajući gradom
naleti na svoju bivšu djevojku Min-sun čiji ga susret ostavlja hladnim
jer još uvijek voli svoju ženu koju je morao ostaviti samu u Koreji.
No, kada upozna Ju-jeonga i njegovu sustanarku Hjun-ju, djevojku iz
Koreje koja u Parizu studira umjetnost, Sung-nam se zaljubi u mladu i
tajanstvenu ženu, kao i u Pariz.
