Povzetek:


Germany 1939. Hans and Lene marry the day before the war breaks out, and Hans is sent to the Eastern front. During a bombing raid their daughter Anna is born. The house is destroyed and Lene and Anna moves in with relatives in Berlin. Hans survives the war but he is not the same person as in 1939, and he and Lene find it difficult to live together again.

    Teška, depresivna njemačka drama prati život mladog bračnog para
    čiju sreću prekine njegova mobilizacija na istočni front.
    Film prati daljnji tijek razvoja događaja, rođenje njihove male kćerkice
    i otuđenost i nerazumijevanje koje tokom godina raste između njih troje.


    Režiserka Helma Sanders-Brahmsova, rođena 1940, prvi film snimila je 1969
    'Deutschland, bleiche Mutter' prema iskustvima izvučenim iz njene majke
    sa akcentom, ne na društvo tokom rata, već na ključnu temu života unutar
    teško održavanog domaćinstva.

    Naziv je preuzet iz radikalne drame Bertolda Brehta.
