    Film 'Faraon' je adaptacija istoimenog romana poljskog pisca Bolesława Prusa

    Mladi faraon Ramzes XIII, prijestolonasljednik siromašnog Egipta,
    sukobi se sa egipatskim svećeništvom zbog više utjecaja oko državnih
    poslova i nagomilanih riznica zlata.


    Filmu nedostaje holivudski spektakl Cecila B. DeMillea i ostalih filmskih verzija,
    tako da je ova poljska vjerovatno vjerodostniji prikaz drevnog Egipta.
