A kot mnogim ljudem se tudi njemu zagnusijo maske, ki jih nosi, in laži, ki jih trosi. Med popravljanjem svojega klasičnega kabrioleta poskuša popraviti tudi svoje odnose z ženo, s sinom in skupnostjo.

Jay Austin (Kendrik) je prodajalec rabljenih avtomobilov, takšen, kot se jih vsi bojijo ? lažniv, manipulativen in z nasmeškom, ki mu ves čas, ko s parkirišča spravlja dobro prodano kripo, ne izgine z obraza. Toda neiskrenost ga sčasoma dohiti in takrat se je prisiljen soočiti s svojim prevarantskim življenjem. Zato med popravljanjem svojega klasičnega kabrioleta poskuša popraviti tudi svoje odnose z ljudmi v svoji okolici. Odločen je, da se bo zares spremenil. Kmalu spozna, kako lepo je lahko življenje, če vanj vpelješ Jezusove nauke.
