Nihat bezobzirnom vožnjom prouzrokuje smrt žene i sina i preuzme mesto
vatrogasnog upravnika na usamljenom tornju daleko u divljini.
Seher živi u privremenom smještaju na seoskoj autobuskoj stanici u kojoj
radi kao kondukter. Budući da im je suđeno da stignu na raskršća života,
bave se svojim usamljenim životima, sve dok ih sudbine ne spoje.
Započevši u početku njemim antagonizmom, njihov odnos se brzo pretvara
u nježnu domaćinsku atmosferu po prelasku u Nihatov planinski toranj.
Ali, teret prošlosti pritiska tišinu među njima, služeći kao krajnji
katalizator u njihovom međusobno duboko iskrenom odnosu, i kao viša sila
koja rukovodi njihovim duhovnim životima.
