Sedmogodišnji dečak, Piel, je sam na pustinjskoj planeti Perdide, na kojoj žive ogromni stršljeni ubice.
On čeka spasioce: pilota Jaffara, princa Mattona, njegovu sestru Belle i Jaffarovog starog prijatelja Silbada,
