Povzetek:
Petnajstletna Ferris in Angel se po naključju spoznata na poletnem taboru, kjer jima dodelijo sosednji ležišči v isti koči. Med njima se vname sovraštvo na prvi pogled, saj si najstnika ne bi mogla biti bolj različna: romantična in omikana Ferris prihaja iz premožne družine in je vajena vsakršnih privilegijev, medtem ko je verižni kadilec Angel odraščal na ulici v revni soseski. Nekaj imata vendarle skupnega: oba sta še nedolžna, edina med svojimi vrstniki v tisti koči. Pod pritiskom sostanovalcev, še posebej agresivne Cinder, naposled skleneta stavo, kdo od njiju bo prej izgubil nedolžnost.
