Povzetek:


Palestinski študent Nimer sanja o boljšem življenju v tujini. Nekega usodnega večera spozna izraelskega odvetnika Roya in moška se zaljubita. Ko se njuna zveza razvija, je Nimer soočen z neusmiljeno resničnostjo tradicionalistične palestinske družbe, ki zavrača njegova istospolna nagnjenja, ter tisto izraelsko, ki ga zavrača zaradi njegove narodne pripadnosti. Ko oblasti najdejo njegovega dobrega prijatelja, ki se nezakonito skriva v Tel Avivu, in ga pošljejo nazaj na Zahodni breg – tam pa mladeniča surovo umorijo, – se mora Nimer odločiti med življenjem, kakršnega si je želel, in svojo ljubeznijo do Roya.
