    Diznijev film baziran na knjizi Felixa Saltena iz 1938., kombinacija dokumentarnog filma i izmišljenog scenarija i karaktera.
    Pratimo život mlade ženke veverice, Perri, u šumi koji je ispunjena raznim opasnostima.
    Kad ne beži od prirodnih neprijatelja, Martena, Perri pronalazi vremena i za ljubav.
    Film je sniman Nacionalnoj šumi u Juti i snimljeno je 60km filmske trake od kojih je za film iskorišteno samo 2,5km 
    i nominovan za Oskara, a dobio je Zlatnog Medveda na Berlinskom Filmskom Festivalu.
