Schlafkrankheit (2011)

Ebbo Velten (P. Bokma) već duže živi u Kamerunu i radi na projektu bolesti spavanja. S njim su žena i kći. Pacijenata je malo a europski fond je finacijski velikodušan. Kad mu se žena i kći vrate kući, on ostaje u Africi.
Ovdje se priča vraća tri godine unatrag kad je u posjet stigao inspektor Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije...

Za ovu dramu o čovjeku izgubljenom između dva svijeta redatelj Ulrich Köhler nagrađen je Srebrnim medvjedom na Međunarodnom filmskom festivalu u Berlinu. Zanimanje za život medicinskog osoblja u Africi potaknuta je Köhlerovom biografijom, jer je s bratom odrastao u Zairu gdje su im radili roditelji.
