Povzetek:

Millicent je studentica koja je odrasla u sistemu hraniteljske porodice, gde je godinama bila žrtva seksualnog zlostavljanja od strane nekoliko hranitelja. Odlučuje da se odvoji neko vreme od škole kako bi radila na svojoj tezi, kao i da učestvuje u programu lečenja koji koristi mikrodoze LSD-a. Millicent prihvata posao čuvanja deteta Johnnyja, neverbalnog dečaka s toliko jakim alergijama da mora nositi odelo nalik astronautu kako bi se zaštitio.
Jednom u novom domu, Millicent brzo otkriva da Johnnyjev kućni život nije savršen, jer je njegov otac Jacob sklon neveri, dok je njegova majka Rebecca izuzetno odlučna da se pojavi kao savršena majka.
