Povzetek:

Mladi vojnik Bruno Stachel (G. Peppard) preživeo je rovove i stekao čin poručnika. Dolazi u nemačku vojnu avio bazu gde su smešteni izuzetno sposobni piloti kojima komanduje pukovnik Otto Heidmann (K. M. Vogler), a jedan od onih koji se izdvaja je poručnik Willi von Klugermann (J. Kemp). Bruno ubrzo otkrije Klugermannu da mu je cilj osvojiti Plavi krst, odličje koje se dodeljuje pilotima koji uspeju srušiti 20 neprijateljskih aviona, a u tome mu je uzor pilot von Richthofen (C.
