Povzetek:


Young workers are dying because of a mysterious epidemic in a little village in Cornwall. Doctor Thompson is helpless and asks professor James Forbes for help. The professor and his daughter Sylvia travel to Thomson. Terrible things happen soon, beyond imagination or reality. Dead people are seen near an old, unused mine. Late people seem to live suddenly. Professor Forbes presumes that black magic is involved and someone has extraordinary power. He doesn't know how close he is: the dead become alive because of a magic voodoo-ritual, and so they must serve their master as mindless zombies...

    Kad u malom selu Cornish u Cornwallu počnu umirati mladići od misteriozne
    epidemijske bolesti mladi doktor Peter Thompson ne pronalazi riješenje te
    sve problematičnije enigme, pa u pomoć zove svog starog mentora i prijatelja
    profesora Jamesa Forbesa, čija je kćer Sylvia dobra prijateljica sa Peterovom
    suprugom Alice.
    Čim Sir James i Sylvia stignu u seoce počnu se događati još čudnije stvari,
    jer mještani počnu viđati mrtve ljude blizu starog napuštenog rudnika.
    Stari profesor vrlo brzo posumnja da je za misteriozne smrti kriva crna magija,
    a ne nekakva smrtonosna bolest. Netko koristi znanje mračnih vudu rituala koji
    mrtve ljude pretvara u zombije. Sad je na mudrom i iskusnom Forbesu da što
    prije otkrije tko se krije iza nečasnih radnji, jer njegov život i život
    njegovih najmilijih je u neposrednoj opasnosti.
