Povzetek:

Tom je čudaški in težaven 15-letnik, ki se še bolj izolira, ko se njegova družina iz Londona preseli v odmaknjeno skupnost na podeželju. Tom, njegova 18-letna sestra, oče in noseča mama živijo v majhni hiški; včasih se kopajo v kuhinji, na goloto v hiši pa so se že navadili. Toda nekega dne Tom zagleda očeta v neprimernem objemu z Jessie. O tem, kar je videl, se poskuša pogovoriti z njo, a ga ona zavrne. Ko postane napetost v hiši nevzdržna, saj mora poleg vsega mama resno bolnega dojenčka odpeljati v bolnišnico, pa se sooči še z očetom, ki jezno zanika resnico. Zdaj mora Tom poseči po skrajnih ukrepih, da bi ustavil svojega nasilnega in maščevalnega očeta.
