Povzetek:
Po tridesetih letih poučevanja v londonski šoli se Mark Thackeray (Sidney Poitier) končno upokoji in vrne v Ameriko, da bi v Chicagu mirno preživljal pokoj. Toda kmalu ugotovi, da je bližnja srednja šola podobna šolam, v katerih je delal v Londonu: neurejena, brez discipline in močno potrebna učitelja, ki mu je zares mar za dijake. Odloči se, da bo šoli ponudil svojo pomoč, in kmalu že stoji za katedrom ter najhujše učence, kar jih je kdaj videl, poučuje zgodovino. V filmu se pojavita tudi Lulu in Judy Geeson, ki sta v prvem delu igrali Poitierjevi dijakinji.
