Povzetek:

Franc Vojcek (Klaus Kinski), pošteni vojnik stacioniran u provincijskom gradiću u Nemačkoj, otac je nezakonitog deteta svoje ljubavnice Mari (Eva Mates). On dodatno zarađuje radeći najgore poslove za svog Kapetana (Volfgang Rajhman) i dobrovoljno učestvuje u eksperimentima koje sprovodi Doktor (Vili Semelrog). U jednom od eksperimenata Doktor će reći Vojceku da ne sme da jede ništa, izuzev graška. Iscrpljen glađu, Vojcekova mentalna stabilnost popušta, a sam je ubeđen da proživljava niz apokaliptičnih vizija. U međuvremenu, njegovoj ljubavnici Mari dosadi jadan način života i počne da flertuje sa privlačnim Majorom. U napadu ljubomore Vojcek se suprotstavlja Majoru, koji ga prebije. Ponižen i uvređen, Vojcek će na volšeban način okončati svoj mali život.
