Gunsmoke (1955)

Ljubitelji vesterna moći će uživati u još jednoj poslastici ovoga popularnog žanra. Radi se o poznatoj i jednoj od najdugovječnijih američkih serija - GUNSMOKE, koja se u SAD-u, emitirala čak 20 sezona - kao radijska serija od 1952. do 1961., a kao televizijska serija od 1955. do 1975. godine. Smatra se najdugovječnijom akcijskom prime-time serijom, uz Zakon i red i Simpsone, s impresivnih 635 epizoda.

Autori serije su redatelj Norman Macdonnell i scenarist John Meston, a radnja se zbiva u Kansasu, u okolici Dodge Cityja te u samom gradu u vrijeme kad se veliki broj ljudi doseljava na američki Zapad. Središnji lik je šerif Matt Dillon kojeg u TV seriji glumi James Arness.

Serija je osvojila 15 televizijskih nagrada, među kojima je nekoliko Primetime Emmyja, uz još dvadesetak drugih nominacija.
