U malom idiličnom engleskom gradiću, Bet Ferčajld je pripremila rođendansku
zabavu iznenađenja za svog supruga Toma. S obzirom da je većina ljudi prisutna
jer je Tom omiljeni lokalni lekar, Betin svet se okreće naopačke kada žurku prekine
policija i Toma hapse zbog ubistva. Bet veruje da je njen muž pogrešno optužen,
ali ubrzo dolazi do šokantnih otkrića koja dovode u sumnju njegovu nevinost.
