Povzetek:

Osjećajima u ovom poslu nema mjesta. Schuyler (Kirk Douglas) je detektiv starog kova koji se odriče policijske značke kada shvati da se zakon prema kriminalcima odnosi preblago. Kao tjelohranitelja svoje klijentice Rene (Syva Koscina) zaposli ga ugledni odvjetnik Fredricks (Eli Wallach). Rena je osumnjičena za ubojstvo svog supruga, baš kao i njen ljubavnik i playboy Fleming (Kenneth Haigh). Schuyler jednim okom prati svoju lijepu klijenticu, ali istovremeno pokušava doznati više o ubojstvu i je li Rena doista kriva.
