Povzetek:

Lee Stegler (James Caan) je znanstvenik izabran da ide na misiju na Mjesec umjesto Chiza (Robert Duval). Kako su Amerikanci uključeni u svemirsku utrku, NASA odlučuje zaobići neke sigurnosne mjere kako bi stigli prije Rusa na Mjesec, ali doktor Gus (Charles Aidman) brine se za to da se poduzmu sve mjere predostrožnosti. Kada Stegler naposljetku stigne na Mjesec, vidi da su ih Rusi preduhitrili, ali odmah primijeti da su ignorirali sve one mjere koje su Amerikanci obavili prije polaska.
