Roque počinje da studira na Univerzitetu u Buenos Airesu, ali nije preterano zainteresovan da ga i završi. Umesto da uči, vreme troši u nastojanju da se približi nekoj od grupa koja kontroliše život studenata, a i to više zbog toga da bi se približio Pauli, atraktivnoj mladoj profesorki, a ne zbog svojih ideoloških stavova.
