Povzetek:

Lord Jack Clayton z nosečo ženo Alice nasede ob afriški obali. V pragozdu si zgradita kolibo in kmalu po rojstvu sina Johna umreta. Novorojenca posvoji skupina opic in med njimi deček odraste v postavnega moža, po imenu Tarzan. Ko džunglo obiščejo lovci, Tarzan spozna belgijskega kapitana, ki ga nauči sporazumevanja v angleškem jeziku ter se z njim vrne v civilizacijo.
