Povzetek:

Francuski fantastični film snimljen 1934. u režiji Fritza Langa. Radnja se temelji na istoimenom kazališnom komadu Ferenca Molnara, a naslovni protagonist (koga tumači Charles Boyer) je najavljivač u luna-parku koji nakon bezuspješne pljačke počini samoubistvo i završi ispred vrata Raja, gdje mu nude da se na jedan dan vrati na Zemlju i učini dobro djelo.

Lang je film snimio nedugo nakon što je emigrirao u Pariz potaknut dolaskom nacista na vlast u Njemačkoj. Predstavljao mu jedini francuski film. Nakon premijere je izazvao proteste Katoličke crkve zbog "neispravnog" prikaza Raja i Čistilišta, ali i samog Molnara. Usprkos toga, kao i negativnih recenzija francuske kritike, Lang je poslije izjavio kako mu je upravo Liliom najdraži film u karijeri.
