Povzetek:

Prodajalka Angie Rossini si bolj kot vse drugo želi pobegniti iz strogega in nazadnjaškega okolja svoje tradicionalne italijanske družine. Rocky Papasano je nepredvidljiv in neodgovoren džezovski glasbenik, ki se venomer žene za življenjskimi užitki. Srečata se v hotelu v poletnem letovišču in tam Angie naredi hudo napako; noč preživi z Rockyjem, posledica bežne romance pa je neželena nosečnost. Angie pove Rockyju, da se je odločila za splav in ga prosi za pomoč pri iskanju primernega zdravnika. Rocky je zbegan in presenečen, vendar ji sklene ustreči. Nesojeni par se skuša domisliti najboljše rešitve za primer, da bosta vendarle postala starša. V prepletu duhovitih in včasih ganljivih okoliščin se vročekrvni glasbenik in skromno dekle naposled sprijaznita s položajem - ter drug z drugim.
