Povzetek:


A World War II veteran, suffering from amnesia but otherwise healthy, is released from a veteran's hospital, decides to return to Los Angeles to see if he can regain his identity. Trying to retrace his former steps he soon learns that he was a double-crossing gangster, and many people have reasons to wish he wasn't around...and some try to see to it that he isn't around very long...alive, at least.

    Odlikovani ratni veteran Eddie Rice se leči u vojnoj bolnici od trajne amnezije.
    Ne seća se ničega iz predratnog života, a ni vojska ne može da mu pomogne, jer o njemu nema nikakvih podataka.
    Pošto za njegovu bolest nema leka, doktor mu savetuje da ide u grad u kojem se prijavio u vojsku.
    U tom gradu otkriva da on nije Eddie Rice već Riccardi opasni kriminalac koji je nestao. 
    Da sve bude još gore, nemilosrdni mafijaški bos, kojeg je Eddie ranije izdao, traži osvetu.
