Povzetek:


A serial killer known as "The Avenger" is on the loose in London, murdering blonde women. A mysterious man arrives at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Bunting looking for a room to rent. The Bunting's daughter is a blonde model and is seeing one of the detectives assigned to the case. The detective becomes jealous of the lodger and begins to suspect he may be the avenger.

    Stanar je svojevrsna prerada priče o Jacku Trbosjeku smještena 
    u London kojim harači serijski ubojica sa specijalnim afinitetom ka
    istrebljivanju plavuša. U isto vrijeme, u kuću Bountingovih useljava
    novi stanar, Jonathan Drew, koji ima pomalo čudne sklonosti.
    Mladić se noću često iskrada u londonsku maglu, a u sobi ima sliku plavuše.
    Kad se lijepa plavokosa Daisy, kćerka Bountingovih, spetlja s Drewom,
    njen ljubomorni dečko Joe optuži mladića da je on serijski ubojica...



    'Stanar: Priča o londonskoj magli' iz 1927. bio je vrlo uspješno kritično i
    komercijalno djelo, inspirirano ekspresionizomom i snimljeno je u Njemačkoj.
    To je prvi pravi hičkokovski film koji koristi tehnike kao što su "krivi čovjek".
    Inače, Hitchcock se u jednom razgovoru povjerio Francoisu Truffautu kako,
    'Stanara' smatra svojim prvim filmom iako je prije njega već snimio dva filma.
