Povzetek:

Britanski crno-bijeli historijski film snimljen 1933. u režiji Alexandera Korde. Radnja, uz dosta crnog humora, prikazuje vladavinu engleskog kralja Henryja VIII, čiji lik tumači Charles Laughton, a s posebnim naglaskom na kratkotrajni brak sa Annom od Clevesa koju tumači Laughtonova supruga Elsa Lanchester. Film je postigao veliki uspjeh, i učinio zvijezdu ne samo od Laughtona i Lanchester, nego i od Merle Oberon, koja je tumačila Anne Boleyn. Private Life je također postao i prvi britanski film nominiran za Oscara.
