Povzetek:
Na londonski postaji St. Pancras sta bili istočasno umorjeni dve ženski. Način umorov je sicer drugačen, toda policija vseeno najde povezavo z umoroma, ki sta se zgodila pred nekaj meseci in na isti dan. Detektiv Thorne je prepričan, da sta na delu serijska morilca, ki sta sklenila bizarno in nadvse morbidno partnerstvo. Ko enega izmed njih aretirajo, ta sicer prizna svoje zločine, ne želi pa razkriti imena svojega partnerja. Thorne se zato odloči, da ga bo izpustil in s tem prisilil drugega morilca, da se preda.
