True Confession (1937)

Helen i Ken su prilično čudan par. Ona je patološki lažov, a on beskrupulozno pošten (i stoga neuspešan) advokat. Helen započinje novi posao, a kada je njen poslodavac pronađen mrtav, svi (posredni) dokazi upućuju na nju. Sudi joj se za ubistvo, a njen muž je brani. On misli da ona ponovo laže kada kaže da to nije uradila, i insistira da se izjasni da jeste, ali u samoodbrani. Čarli, sumnjiv, čudan lik koji može, a možda i ne zna nešto o tome šta se zaista dogodilo, visi po sudnici i zatvoru praveći grube komentare i buku. Nakon što je Helen oslobođena optužbi, on ih pokušava uceniti.
