Povzetek:
Smeštena u pedesete godine prošlog veka, priča prati dve sestre: Montse, koja pati od agorafobije i mlađu, Elizu, koje žive zatvorene u čudnom stanu u centru Madrida. Njihova majka je umrla na Elizinom porođaju, a njihov otac ih je napustio ne mogavši da ih izdržava, te je Montse protraćila mladost brinući se o mlađoj sestri zatvorena između četiri zida zbog svoje bolesti. Takva svakodnevica će se prekinuti kada Montse susretne lepog i neodgovornog komšiju Karlosa na stepeništu zgrade, koji će tražiti njenu pomoć pošto je prilikom pada slomio nogu. Njegov ulazak u njihov stan će okinuti niz mračnih događaja koji će uslediti nakon što na površinu izađe dugo taloženo ogorčenje u njihovim psihama...
