"The Trail of the Lonesome Pine" je treća filmska obrada novele John Fox Jr. Radnja filma je smeštena u planinama Virdžinije. Džek Hejl dolazi da pripremi trasu za novu prugu. Gorštakinja Džun Toliver se zaljubljuje u Džeka Hejlija što izaziva neprijateljstvo Džuninog momka.
